You know your child better than anyone. I know how schools and programs work from the inside. Side by side, we make sure your child's needs are understood, documented, and met.
For more than ten years, I've worked with children and young adults with disabilities — from preschoolers taking their first steps into a classroom to young adults planning for life after school. I've sat on the school side of the table as a special education teacher in Georgia public schools, and I've sat beside families trying to make sense of it all.
That's exactly why I started The Advocacy Bridge. Too often, families feel like they're on the opposite side from the very people meant to help their child. I don't see it that way. My job is to build the bridge — to help you and your child's team understand each other, work from the same information, and move toward the same goal.
I bring the calm, the questions, and the knowledge of how the system works. You bring the person who knows your child best. Together, that's a powerful team.
Real progress happens when everyone is working together. I stand in the middle — never against the school, always for your child — connecting both sides so nothing falls through the cracks.
The expert on your child — their strengths, their story, their needs.
Translating between both sides, preparing you, and keeping the focus on progress.
Teachers, therapists, and staff who want to help — when the plan is clear.
Whether you're just starting the process or feel like you've hit a wall, here's where I can step in beside you.
I review your child's plan line by line, help you understand what it really means, and prepare you for every meeting so the goals and services actually fit your child.
Evaluation reports can feel like a wall of jargon. I help you make sense of the data, understand eligibility decisions, and know what to ask for when something doesn't add up.
You don't have to walk into a room full of professionals alone. I attend meetings with you — in person or virtually — to help you stay grounded, ask the right questions, and be heard.
Every transition — into preschool, up through the grades, and toward life after high school — brings new questions. I help you plan ahead so each next step feels steady instead of scary.
Some of the most important services for your child come through Georgia's Medicaid waivers — and the paperwork can be overwhelming. I provide hands-on help completing the applications and gathering documentation for the Katie Beckett (Deeming) Waiver and the NOW & COMP waivers, so everything is accurate, complete, and gives your family the best possible chance of approval.
I advocate hard for your child while keeping relationships with the school intact — because your child has to walk those halls every day.
No acronyms without explanations. You'll leave every conversation understanding exactly what's happening and what comes next.
We'll walk into every meeting knowing your goals, your rights, and your plan — so decisions get made with you, not around you.
Every family gets the choice. We can meet virtually for flexibility, or in person when it helps to be in the room together — and I'll travel to meet in person anywhere in Georgia when your situation calls for it. Wherever you are in the state, you're never out of reach.
I help you understand your child's rights and needs, prepare for and attend school meetings, review plans and evaluations, and make sure the support your child is entitled to actually shows up in the classroom. Think of me as an experienced guide who's walked this path many times before.
No — I'm an educational advocate, not an attorney, and I don't provide legal advice. Most families never need a lawyer; what they need is someone who understands the school system and can help them navigate it confidently. If a situation ever calls for legal counsel, I'll tell you honestly.
Any time — there's no wrong moment. Whether your child is being evaluated for the first time, you're unhappy with a current plan, a big transition is coming, or you just feel unsure, an early conversation usually makes everything easier.
It begins with a free consultation. We'll talk through what's going on, what you're hoping for, and whether I'm the right fit to help. No pressure, no obligation — just a chance to feel a little less alone in this.
Tell me a little about your child and what you're navigating. I'll get back to you personally to set up a free, no-pressure conversation about how I can help.
Together, we turn challenges into progress.
